I own a 2002 Bajaj Chetak scooter, and I’m a member of the Retrobajaj Forum. The forum is place where current owners can get or give assistance to those who are having an issue with the way their scoots are operating and running.

The ability of a community to help solve problems is valuable to expert and N00b mechanics. Words and pictures come in handy for this ‘learning’, but a whole bunch of typewritten text often just adds to the confusion. Sometimes a video would help, and there are a few things that would be easier if you could hear things. Thus, the idea to establish a ‘place’ where videos could be presented to assist folk in learning the “Art & Joy Wrinching on Motorbikes” was born.

I’m going to tell you what this blog site is NOT. It is not a place where I will answer questions about how to your fix your scoot. If you want help, then go to the forum and post something. That’s where I go for help.

You can make comments on the pages in the header or on any post if you have a specific question, or there is something you need clarified. That’s about the only way we can make this useful, comprehensive, and clear.

I am putting my energy into telling you HOW and WHY the technology in your scoot works the way it does, except that in a lot a cases I don’t know how lots of things (like electricity) work, and I sure as hell am not able to answer most ‘why’ questions. If I could, then I’d probably know why the universe exists, whether any ‘gods’ are real, and why people are so freekin’ stupid. In all honesty, I cannot pin the tail on any of them donkies.

I did get volunteered into learning something about making videos a couple of years ago, which ended up being kinda fun. As a stage musician you spend the entire performance watching the audience watch you play, when you create a video you get to watch yourself perform. The implications of that kind of ‘ego shining’ should be obvious :)

Let's get a Wrinch on!
